2016 WI Soup and Sweets
From our own correspondent, Anne Yates aged 9 +
This was my second Soup and Sweets. It was a cold day and the snow was just melting. So I opted for the thick tomato soup to start with. It was delicious and warmed me up. Next followed minestrone soup. It tasted great. After a short interval I got stuck into the roulade and meringue. Pops had the same with cream and whipped cream too!
My sister won the last prize in the raffle. 120 best Yorkshire tea bags!. Fortunately Granny agreed to buy them off her so she was well happy. £175.70 was raised for flood victims by the raffle.
Thank you very much to all those who did such a splendid job making and serving the food.
